Joe Tarasco is the founder and President of the Accountants Advisory Group, LLC (AAG), an international consulting firm, dedicated to assisting the leaders of today’s public accounting firms in structuring and managing their practices to increase profitability, maximize value and achieve long-term success. Before founding AAG, his experience included 15 years as the managing partner and executive committee member of a 125-person CPA firm based in New York City.
Joe is experienced and insightful in all areas of firm practice management, including managing the partner group, marketing, human capital, succession planning, firm governance, partnership agreements, mergers and acquisitions, partner compensation structure, and selection of new partners. He draws on his extensive experience to provide partners and practice leaders with effective and innovative strategies to take their firms to the next levels of success.
Joe is a sought after facilitator for partner retreats and also provides leadership training and coaching for CPA firm partners.
The Journal of Accountancy and The Practical Accountant, along with other state societies and accounting journals, have published articles authored by Joe regarding the management of accounting practices. He has also developed the RedZone Practice Management strategy to assist CPA firms in remaining independent and developing succession plans. Joe frequently gives presentations that focus on a variety of practice management topics to public accounting groups, firms and associations.
